• Went on our bridges field trip.
• It was COLD. You guys did GREAT. Will you listen next time about dressing properly?
• You will get your brigdges booklet back when we do the structures & forces unit.

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Made observations on our beans! What happened?
• What happened to our raisins? What processes are they?
• What happened to our celery in coloured water? What process is that?
• We put a bag over our spider plant today, what process do we hope to see?
• We dropped potassium permangenate crystals in water today, what process did we observe? What colour?
• We did one more activity, do you remember what it was? What did we "make"?
• Had a homework check. How did you do?
• Read about plant ADAPTATIONS! We will learn more about this next week.
• REMINDER: Current Events on FRIDAY. Are you ready to roll?
• Field trip tomorrow! DRESS WARM, BRING YOUR LUNCH, BRING 1L OF WATER, BRING A PENCIL & SOMETHING TO WRITE ON, BRING A BACK PACK TO HOLD YOUR STUFF!!
• Meet in the back of the library at 855am. Go to the bathroom first!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Looked at & fixed up our lima beans. Wrote down our observations.
• Handed in field trip forms.
• Read p102-103 together. Talked about plant processes.
• Do you know what: transpiration, capillary action, diffusion, & osmosis are? What were the activities we did in class today to demonstrate them? TELL SOMEBODY ABOUT THEM!
• What are TWO process that make food? Which one needs SUNSHINE? Where in the leaf does it take place? The special organelle....what is it called.
• Read p104, 106 & 107
• Homework: p107 #1-4. Don't forget to included your name, date, class, a proper title (Check & Reflect p107 #1-4), and WRITE DOWN THE QUESTION!
• We will have a homework check tomorrow: p115 #1-5 (it was assigned last Thursday & should be DONE) & p107

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Handed in our Field Trip Forms.
• Did vocabulary #9.
• Observed our Lima Beans. What is going on? Changed the paper and the water. What was growing on the paper?
• Wrote down our observations on our "Lima Bean Observation" Sheet.
• RED lab safety contracts. Have you handed yours in?
• Talked about field trip expectations. Got a BLUE hand out that YOU and your parent must review and sign. I need to see these before Thursday.
• Had a textbook number check. You should be bringing your science textbook with you to EVERY class.
• PLEASE THINK ABOUT YOUR BEANS!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did Current Events. NICE WORK. Those of you who came prepared did a great job.
• Looked at our beans and wrote down some observations on our chart. What is your bean doing? They have been watered and are covered with plastic wrap for the weekend.

TEXTBOOKS - Please Bring Them on MONDAY.

We will check the numbers for sure this time.

• Worked on our title pages.
• Handed in our vocabulary.
• Read & Understand p98-101.
• Talked about the parts of a seed plant & what they do. Can you list them?
• Did Questions, p101 #1-4.
• Handed in our Field Trip Forms.
• Started our LIMA BEAN EXPERIMENT! Got 2 sheets, one that describes what we are doing, the other to record our observations.
• Recorded our first observations of our lima bean.
• What will we do for our experiment tomorrow?
• HOMEWORK: Finish your title page, reading, questions. READ & UNDERSTAND #5 on your Lima Bean Experiment Worksheet.

• We did the Crossing the Boarder activity on p70 with a group. Are your paragraphs finished? You will be presenting yours on MONDAY.

• Went over our homework questions. Do you understand #3? Is it a good thing for these types of chemicals to be in the food we eat? Why is it a bad thing? Do you understand how to do #6 correctly? IT IS NOT MULTIPLE CHOICE. PLEASE READ THE QUESTIONS CAREFULLY.
